It's Official- March 2nd, 2011

Today is the first day we got word back from the Resort, that our wedding date we picked has been confirmed and is available!! It is the first time I'm planning a wedding, and setting a date with my lovely fiance! eeeeeeeeeeee...

Natasha, our Wedding "planner" from Bangkok is amazing! The company is called Creative Events Asia
-Thailand Wedding, Honeymoon and Accommodation Specialists. I haven't paid her for any information, recommendations or ideas she's given us. She gets paid by booking accommodation and wedding services through her and she'll also help us with the legal registration and translation of the wedding. She's more like a third party person who speaks English and is the go between person when booking places in Thailand- I guess that's what Wedding Planners do, except her services are free! It's really ideal as it's quite difficult to plan a whole wedding on the internet with no assistance. I highly recommend her to anyone considering getting married in Thailand.

Since wedding bells are ringing obsessively in my head, I'm going to share some of the details with you in this blog. Wedding planning is all one big massive first, and it's pretty overwhelming how much there is to do and I've realized how VERY easy it is to get carried away and spend thousands and thousands of dollars! ~ but, in the end, all that matters is that we're together and in love!

So, first things first. We've decided to get married at a beautiful, stunning 5 star Resort on Koh Lanta, Thailand. (this was an incredibly hard decision as there are so many beautiful places there) Go here to check it out! The wedding will take place on a white sandy beach, (me in my bare feet) with close friends and family. The reception that follows will include a Traditional Thai and Western dinner, cake, dancing, music, and wine as the sun sets. It is going to be truly magical and I really can't wait to become Mr. and Mrs. Clark! (yes, I'm changing my name).

The colors of the wedding are going to be taken from the colors of a peacock feather: Dark Navy blue, Chocolate Brown, and Grass Green. The bridesmaids dresses will be the green color, with accents of the dark blue, and brown. The resort will decorate with peacocks, and use these colors in the design; they will do all of these for us which is great. These are my fav colors, and will look fantastic with the crystal blue waters in the background! I can't wait.....
